Article 56 - Exercise of the delegation

1.

The powers to adopt delegated acts referred to in Articles 3, 4, 9, 12 and 14 to 25, 34 to 37, 40, 42, 53, 67 and 68 shall be conferred on the Commission for a period of 4 years from 21 July 2011. The Commission shall draw up a report in respect of the delegated powers no later than 6 months before the end of the 4-year period. The delegation of power shall be automatically extended for periods of an identical duration, unless the European Parliament or the Council revokes it in accordance with Article 57.

As soon as it adopts a delegated act, the Commission shall notify it simultaneously to the European Parliament and to the Council.

The powers to adopt delegated acts are conferred on the Commission subject to the conditions of Articles 57 and 58.
