[ESMA 33-128-563 Securitisation Q&A, Q&A 5.1.17] As further explained in sections 2.1.3.1 and 2.1.3.2 of ESMA’s CP on the securitisation disclosure requirements, the templates used under the ECB ABS loan-level initiative constituted the starting point for the present templates. However, adjustments to these templates were necessary in order to ensure that the requirements under the Securitisation Regulation (which did not exist when the ECB templates were developed), including the specific needs for investors and other data users to meet their obligations, could be adequately reflected.
